Third phase of Sea Vision training concludes on successful note

The third phase of Sea Vision training (Executive Course) conducted by the Office of the Defence Cooperation (ODC) of the Embassy of United States to Sri Lanka, successfully concluded at the Navy Headquarters today (29th June 2022).

Sea Vision is a web-based maritime situational awareness tool that enables users to view and share a broad array of maritime information to enhance maritime operations, maritime security and build partnerships within the maritime community.

The third segment of training was participated by Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Merchant Shipping Secretariat and Airport and Aviation Services of Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the Operator Course for Sea Vision operators (20- 24 April), Analyst Course for Sea Vision operators (20- 24 June) and Executive Course for officials in decision making level (27- 29 June) were conducted successfully before the fourth and final Train the Trainer Course, which is scheduled to be held in July 2022.

The training modules were conducted by U.S. trainers of the Sea Vision Technical Assistance Field Team and certificates were distributed among the participants on successful completion.
