Annual pooja and perahera of Lord Ganesh Kovil at Naval Dockyard held successfully
The annual pooja of Lord Ganesh Kovil at Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee was held on a successful note on 01st September 2022. In parallel with the religious ritual a colourful perehera marched in the dockyard premises, carrying the statue of Lord Ganesh.
The Hindu rituals associated with the ceremony were performed by the kovil priest. The occasion was attended by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularatne, senior officers and sailors from the command and a group of Hindu devotees.
