Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda takes over command of Southeastern Naval Area
Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda assumed duties as Commander Southeastern Naval Area at the Command Headquarters today (12th October 2022).
The incoming Commander was warmly received to the Southeastern Naval Command according him a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval tradition. Thereafter, Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma who previously held the office, relinquished his duties upon formally handing over them to Rear Admiral Kanchana Banagoda.
Meanwhile the officers and sailors of the Southeastern Naval Area congratulated the outgoing Commander for his service and bade him customary farewell on his departure.
