Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma assumes duties as Commander North Central Naval Area
Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma assumed duties as the Commander North Central Naval Area at the Command Headquarters today (19th October 2022).
The incoming Commander was warmly received to the North Central Naval Command according him a Guard of Honour in compliance with naval tradition. Thereupon, his predecessor Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake handed over duties and responsibilities to Rear Admiral Prasad Kariyapperuma at the Area Commander’s office.
Meanwhile, the officers and sailors of the North Central Naval Command congratulated the outgoing Commander for his service and bade him customary farewell on his departure.
