‘Trinco Dialogue - 2022’ maritime symposium culminates on high note

The ‘Trinco Dialogue - 2022’ maritime symposium was held at the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium of the Naval and Maritime Academy, Trincomalee on 21st October 2022. The event was graced by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy and Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularatne, as the Chief Guest.

The eighth edition of the maritime symposium was organized by the Student Officers of 31st Junior Naval Staff Course, under the guidance of Commandant Naval and Maritime Academy, Commodore Damian Fernando. This time around, the theme for the Trinco Dialogue was ‘Sri Lanka Navy: Roadmap to Future’.

Commencing the proceedings of the intellectual component of the symposium, Mrs Sinduja Jeyaratne, a lecturer at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Rathmalana presented a research paper. Similarly, Commander Priyadarshana Udakumbura and Commander Chaminda Walakuluge presented research papers as well. In addition, 06 Student Officers of the 31st Junior Naval Staff Course also presented 03 research papers.

Senior officers from the Navy Headquarters and Eastern Naval Command, Student Officers of Sri Lanka Army School of Logistics, Junior Command and Staff College of Sri Lanka Air Force as well as student officers of the 31st Junior Naval Staff Course were present on this occasion.
