Navy provides medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera on 06th October 2023 declared open a medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH). This contribution, made available for the Hemodialysis Unit of LRH, is part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) initiative, reflecting the Navy's commitment to serving the community.

The Navy is engaged in this magnanimous initiative under the guidance of the Commander of the Navy and the project has received financial support from the Ministry of Health. The medical grade RO plant has the capacity to provide high quality water purification for 15 patients initially, with the potential for expansion to accommodate up to 25 patients.

The occasion was also attended by the Senior Coordinator for NSR project, Commander Buddhika Randimal, officers and a group of staff members from LRH.
