High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka pays farewell call on Commander of the Navy

The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, H.E. Major General (R) Umar Farooq Burki paid his farewell call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters today (21st December 2023).

Upon his arrival, the visiting High Commissioner was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the Navy to the Navy Headquarters, before they held a cordial discussion on several matters of bilateral importance. Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera extended his gratitude to H.E. Major General (R) Umar Farooq Burki for his assistance while serving as the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, and conveyed best wishes for the outgoing envoy’s future endeavours.

The occasion was also attended by the Defence Adviser of the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Colombo, Colonel Muhammad Farooq. The official interaction drew to a close with the Commander of the Navy presenting a memento to the outgoing High Commissioner, signifying the importance of this occasion.
