Delegation from Office for International Military Cooperation in Central Military Commission of People’s Republic of China calls on Commander of the Navy

A delegation from the Office for International Military Cooperation in the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China, led by Major General Zhang Baoqun, visited the Navy Headquarters in Colombo and called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera today (07th March 2024).

During the cordial discussion that followed, the Commander of the Navy explained the role of the Sri Lanka Navy to the visiting delegation. The Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake, Director General Engineering, Rear Admiral Ravi Ranasinghe, Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Nishantha Peiris, Director General Electrical and Electronics, Rear Admiral Viraj Leelarathna, Director General Training, Rear Admiral Rohitha Abeysinghe and a group of senior officers from the Navy Headquarters were also present on this occasion.

The official interaction culminated with an exchange of mementoes, as a gesture of goodwill and cooperation.
