Two-storeyed Sanghawasa at Sri Dharma Nikethana Maha Pirivena in Sella Kataragama declared open by Commander of the Navy

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera declared open a newly built two-storeyed Sanghawasa at Sri Dharma Nikethana Maha Pirivena in Sella Kataragama on 11th May 2024. The Sri Lanka Navy enabled its manpower and industrial expertise for the construction of this two-storeyed Sanghawasa building.

After the opening of new Sanghawasa building, Commander of the Navy and the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Mala Lamahewa attended an all-night Pirith chanting ceremony. Next day they offered mid-day alms and Pirikara to 100 members of Venerable Maha Sangha.

The Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe and a group of officers and sailors from SLNS Kawantissa were also present on this occasion.
