Navy designs 02 medical grade RO plants for Hemodialysis Unit at National Hospital - Kandy

As part of the Naval Social Responsibility Project, 02 medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants designed for the Hemodialysis Unit at National Hospital – Kandy were declared open for community use on 17th May 2024.

Sri Lanka Navy is passionately into this magnanimous project under the able guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. Accordingly, the twenty-seventh (27th) and twenty-eighth (28th) medical-grade RO plants developed by this project can simultaneously provide hemodialysis treatment to 35 kidney patients.

The occasion was also attended by the Directress of the National Hospital – Kandy, Dr. Erasha Fernando, Commanding Officer – SLNS Shilpa, officers, sailors and staff members of the hospital.
