Commander of the Navy attends pinnacle unveiling ceremony at Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera took part in a spiritual ceremony where the pinnacle of Dalada Mandiraya at Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya, Sri Jayawardenepura was unveiled amidst the blessings of members of Ven. Maha Sangha on 23rd May 2024.

The renovation of Dalada Mandiraya commenced on 11th October 2021, under the wise counsel of the Chief Incumbent of Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya, Ven. Dr. Aluthnuwara Anuruddha Thera and manpower made possible by the Sri Lanka Navy. Meanwhile, the renovation work is scheduled to complete by 11th June 2024.

Following the pinnacle unveiling ceremony, the Commander of the Navy also attended religious rituals presided over by Ven. Dr. Aluthnuwara Anuruddha Thera.

Members of Ven. Maha Sangha, Director General Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Rear Admiral Viraj Leelarathna, Acting Director General Civil Engineering, Rear Admiral Ravi Gunasinghe, officers from the Navy Headquarters, sailors and devotees were also present on this occasion.
