Commander of the Navy embarks on a visit to SLNS Nipuna
Embarking on an official visit to SLNS Nipuna on 21 Apr 25, the Commander of the Navy interacted with recruits as well as officers and sailors of the Directing Staff. Addressing them, the Navy Chief underscored the shared responsibility of both trainees and trainers and offered key directives to enhance the effectiveness of training programmes, ensuring they remain results-driven.
Upon arriving at SLNS Nipuna, the Commander of the Navy was warmly received by Commanding Officer of the naval establishment. He then proceeded to address the recruits, followed by the members of Directing Staff.
Adding further, Navy Chief emphasized the critical role of the Navy in safeguarding national security and its unwavering commitment to protecting the country's maritime interests. Against this backdrop, he called for a united effort from all naval personnel to uphold this vital mission.
