Naval expertise in action to strengthen students’ health well-being

In a commendable initiative to promote student health, the Sri Lanka Navy subject matter expertise partnered with the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Trincomalee, to conduct a health awareness programme for the students of Tissa Vidyalaya, Trincomalee on 14 and 15 May 25.

The programme aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and preparedness in areas of personal health, hygiene, disease prevention and basic emergency response. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort by the Eastern Naval Command to promote public health awareness and community resilience in the Trincomalee region. The initiative also emphasized fostering healthy habits among schoolchildren, aiming to build a thriving community where every child can grow up strong and well.
