Naval personnel roll up sleeves for blood donation drive
In a yet another commendable display of Naval Social Responsibility, a blood donation drive organized by the Navy was held at the Naval Hospital at SLNS Pandukabhaya on 20 May 25.
Highlighting the enduring spirit of service and compassion, the Navy has been conducting a wide range of Naval Social Responsibility projects, at the directives of the Commander of the Navy. In parallel with these initiatives, this blood donation campaign was held under the supervision of Commander North Central Naval Area.
This magnanimous effort was carried out in coordination with the Blood Banks of the Teaching Hospital, Anuradhapura and District Hospital, Vavuniya, to coincide with the National War Heroes’ Day commemoration and Vesak festival.
A large group of naval personnel from the North Central Naval Command volunteered to donate blood for this noble cause.
