National Hydrographer Calls on Defence Secretary
The National Hydrographer of Sri Lanka, Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Ministry of Defence in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte on Monday (May 26).
The meeting was an important exchange focused on the recent advancements in the Hydrographic discipline within Sri Lanka and explored future strategies to further develop this critical sector.
Both officials discussed on-going initiatives to enhance Sri Lanka’s hydrographic capabilities, ensuring that the country is better positioned to meet its national obligations while addressing the broader regional needs in this field.
The Ministry of Defence reaffirmed its continued support for the development of the hydrographic sector as a strategic national priority, ensuring that Sri Lanka remains a leader in regional maritime safety.
