Navy's community outreach initiative transforms Laafir Vidyalaya, Kalmunai

The Navy joined hands to enhance conducive educational environment at Laafir Vidyalaya, Kalmunai on 30 May 25, as part of "A School Full of Happiness" initiatives.

The Navy is a key contributor of the "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative, supporting the government's broader "Beautiful Island, Smiling People" vision. Through active participation in this nationwide campaign, the Navy often contributes to reposition the nationwide efforts of environmental, social, and ethical initiatives.

As part of this national initiative, schools are being encouraged to foster dynamic, creative, and disciplined learning communities that prioritize student talent development within clean, supportive, and secure educational environments. The Navy’s efforts focus on enhancing school facilities and infrastructure, having completed the renovation and improvement of 40 schools nationwide to date.

The recent initiative at Laafir Vidyalaya, aimed at creating a better learning atmosphere for teachers and students was launched under the supervision of the Commander of the Southeastern Naval Area.
