Navy culinary artist garners top honours for carving at Food Expo 2025
Exhibiting remarkable display of skill and creativity, Chief Petty Officer (Infantry) WPA Subasinghe brought pride to the Navy by securing top accolades at the prestigious Culinary Art Food Expo 2025 held at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo. His exceptional talent in food carving earned him a gold medal in Fruits and Vegetable Carving and a silver medal in Ice Carving. The Navy Chief of Staff commended the achiever on 17 Jun 25, recognizing his dedication and outstanding performance. Additionally, the Chief Petty Officer was presented with a Letter of Appreciation, highlighting the Navy’s recognition in his accomplishments.
Organized by the Chefs Guild of Lanka in collaboration with World Association of Chefs Societies and CDC Events, the Culinary Art Food Expo 2025 brought together over 3,000 competitors on a single platform, showcasing culinary excellence and fostering creativity. Representing the Sri Lanka Navy, Chief Petty Officer Subasinghe took part in the event showcasing his mastery in carving.
This achievement not only reflects his artistic excellence but also underscores the diverse talents within the Navy which always lauds such achievements, inspiring others to pursue excellence in both professional and creative endeavours.
