The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo at the Army Headquarters on 25 Jun 25.

The Commander of the Navy was received with a time-honoured military customs which completed with ceremonial honours, reflecting rich heritage and discipline of armed forces. During a formal meeting, the two senior defence chiefs held discussions on shared interests, with special emphasis on the critical contributions of the Sri Lanka Army and Navy in bolstering national security.
