Rear Admiral Nimal Ranasinghe assumes command of Southeastern Naval Area

Rear Admiral Nimal Ranasinghe officially assumed duties as Commander Southeastern Naval Area in a formal ceremony held at the Command Headquarters in Panama on 13 Aug 25.

The newly appointed Area Commander was received at the Southeastern Naval Command in compliance with naval traditions. Thereafter, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Harsha De Silva formally relinquished the command by handing over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to the successor.
