Navy continues eco-drive in Southern Naval Command in view of 75 anniversary
As part of the island-wide tree planting campaign, launched by the Navy in commemoration of its 75th anniversary falling on 09 December, the Southern Naval Command successfully executed the initiative on 27 Oct 25.
The event was designed to bolster the long-term environmental sustainability of the region. To ensure a comprehensive ecological impact, a diverse selection of native plant species was carefully selected and planted across the Command's coastal fringes, lagoon peripheries, and terrestrial grounds.
The programme saw the enthusiastic participation of entire ship crew.
