Sri Lanka Navy mobilizes resources to aid affected communities

In a dedicated humanitarian initiative, the Sri Lanka Navy on 02 Dec 25 mobilized resources to provide assistance to communities distressed by recent inclement weather. The relief effort includes the deployment of mobile kitchens capable of preparing large quantities of cooked meals and mobile Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants designed to produce safe drinking water.

The mobile kitchens have been established in the Meethotamulla, Arachchikattuwa and Anuradhapura areas, where they will provide cooked meals to displaced and affected residents. Simultaneously, the mobile RO plants have been deployed to the Kandy district. These units will serve locations where access to safe drinking water has become significantly challenging.
