Navy's new RO plant delivers clean water to students of Kauduluwewa

Under the Naval Social Responsibility project, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was declared open for community use at Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya in Kauduluwewa, Polonnaruwa on 15 Dec 25.

The project was initiated by the Ministry of Health, with technical execution by the Sri Lanka Navy and financial sponsorship from Perera and Sons Private Limited. With this inauguration, the Navy has now set up a total of 1,141 Reverse Osmosis plants nationwide.

The newly operational plant will reliably provide clean drinking water for students of Mahinda Maha Vidyalaya as well as for a significant number of residents in the surrounding area.

The Sri Lanka Navy reaffirms its commitment to continue initiatives of this nature aimed at ensuring access to safe drinking water across the country.
