Deepening ties with transfer of maritime asset to Sri Lanka Navy

In a demonstration of deepening bilateral maritime cooperation, the Indian Navy formally handed over a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) to the Sri Lanka Navy at the Western Naval Command Headquarters on 15 Jan 26.

The handover ceremony was held under the patronage of Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, Head of the Indian Naval Mission, arrived in Sri Lanka for the 13th Navy to Navy Staff Talks. The RIB was received on behalf of the Sri Lanka Navy by Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, the Commander Western Naval Area.

Following the official transfer of the RIB, the two senior officers exchanged mementoes to commemorate the significant occasion.
