Navy conducts beach clean-up in Galle in conjunction with Independence Day celebrations

In a proactive environmental initiative aligned with the 78th National Independence Day celebrations, the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a coastal clean-up programme on 31 Jan 26 in Galle.

The community-focused event was executed by the Southern Naval Command Naval personnel attached to SLNS Dakshina dedicated their efforts to clearing significant accumulations of solid waste, plastic and polythene from the Samudra Mawatha area to the Galle city limits.
