Local fishermen equipped with essential life-saving techniques and health awareness

Demonstrating its ongoing dedication to public welfare and community development, the Sri Lanka Navy organized an essential life-saving and first aid training for local fishermen. The training session was held at the Cod Bay Fisheries Harbour, Trincomalee on 02 Feb 26.

The Eastern Naval Command East spearheaded the programme as part of the social pillar of the Clean Sri Lanka project. In the programme local fishermen were equipped with essential first aid and life-saving techniques vital for emergencies at sea.
