Comprehensive Fire Response Training to Strengthen Safety Preparedness and Protocols in Emergencies
A specialized Building Firefighting, High-Angle Rope Rescue and Building Rappelling Training Programme conducted for Marine personnel of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) was successfully concluded on 30 Jan 26 at the Fire School and Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron of the Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake.
Held from 19 to 30 Jan 26 at the request of Navy Headquarters, the programme was designed to enhance the emergency response capabilities of SLN Marine personnel assigned to the security of the Defence Headquarters Complex.
The training covered essential theoretical and practical aspects of building firefighting, rope rescue techniques and rappelling procedures relevant to operational duties.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Sri Lanka Navy and the Sri Lanka Air Force to and enhancing emergency response preparedness.
