Navy’s expertise powers another step towards safe water access in Galnewa

In a stride towards enhancing public health and community well-being, a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, was declared open on 27 Mar 26 at Negama Sirisumana Vidyalaya in Galnewa, Anuradhapura.

This vital project was brought to fruition through the Navy's expert technical and engineering craftsmanship, partnered with the financial sponsorship of the Gammadda Community Service Programme. This latest installation marks the 1,152nd RO plant successfully completed and handed over to the public by the Navy to date, as part of its Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project.

With the opening of this facility, the students of Negama Sirisumana Vidyalaya and a large number of residents in the surrounding areas now have seamless access to safe, clean drinking water, effectively addressing a long-standing necessity in the area.
