Navy hones readiness in handling potential CBRN emergencies

The Sri Lanka Navy hosted a joint Chemical, Biological and Nuclear (CBRN) exercise at the UCT Jetty at port of Colombo ,involving the CBRN Unit of the Western Naval Command and the Sri Lanka Ports Authority(SLPA) fire brigade on 31 Mar 26.

The drill was organized with the aim to boost preparedness and readiness in handling potential CBRN incidents within the port premises.

Through a simulated scenario, participants sharpened their skills in coordinated response, containment and mitigation strengthening inter-agency collaboration and response capabilities.
