Navy’s 1153rd RO plant declared open to ensure access for safe and healthy drinking water
In continuation of its commitment towards enhancing public health and community welfare, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant (01), set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, was declared open for community use on 08 Apr 26 at the District Secretariat of Anuradhapura
This was realised under the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project, leveraging the technical expertise and manpower of the Navy, with initiatives by the Ministry of Health and financial sponsorship by the Presidential Secretariat.
Moreover, this generous project of the Navy reached its 1153rd milestone with the opening of the new facility. The newly operational plant will reliably provide clean drinking water for a significant number of people who visit the Anuradhapura District Secretariat daily.
Further, the Navy is advancing its praiseworthy NSR project to supply safe drinking water to communities deprived of such access.
