Navy’s freshwater gift flows with twin RO units for undergraduates of Jaffna University

Aiming to provide a sustainable solution for clean drinking water, two (02) new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants set up by the Sri Lanka Navy were declared open on 11 May 26 at the hostel premises of faculties of Engineering, Technology and Agriculture located in Kilinochchi, belonging to the University of Jaffna.

This vital project was brought to fruition through the Navy's expert technical and engineering craftsmanship, partnered with the financial sponsorship of the University of Jaffna. This latest installations marked the 1,155th RO plant successfully completed and handed over to the public by the Navy to date, as part of its Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project.

With the opening of these two facilities, the undergraduates accommodated in hostels of the respective faculties now have seamless access to safe and clean drinking water.
