Three hundred and eighty three recruit sailors of 230th regular intake pass out in Poonewa
Three hundred and eighty three (383) naval recruits belonging to the 230th regular intake of the Sri Lanka Navy passed out at SLNS Shiksha in Poonewa yesterday (02 December). The Commander Northwestern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Rasika Dissanayake graced the passing out ceremony as the Chief Guest and took the salute.

Navy continues to provide relief measures for people lashed by extreme weather
The daily routine of communities at several regions in the island was greatly hampered after the inclement weather that wreaked havoc in the country over the last couple of days. Naval personnel attached to the Marine Battalion and Rapid Response Rescue & Release Squadron (4RS) have already commenced relief work in view of restoring the lives of affected people in respective areas.
