Sri Lanka Navy gears up for annual Kachchativu feast
The annual Kachchativu feast is set to take place on the 23rd and 24th February 2024 on the Kachchativu Island. Kachchativu is a small islet belongs to Sri Lanka, located near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) of Sri Lanka and India. The main mass of the annual feast will be conducted by the Bishop of Jaffna Diocese, Rt. Rev. Justin Gnanapragasam. In the backdrop where the District Secretary of Jaffna has made necessary arrangements for the event, the Sri Lanka Navy is currently working in full swing to establish infrastructure and facilities for the convenience of devotees.

A delegation from Indian Higher Defence Management Course calls on Commander of the Navy
A group of officers and directing staff members from the Indian Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) who are on a study tour to Sri Lanka, called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters today (05th February 2024). Submarine INS 'Karanj' departs island
The Indian Navy submarine INS 'Karanj', which arrived in Colombo on 03rd February 2024, departed the island today (05th February), on successful completion of its formal visit. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing submarine at the port of Colombo.

Naval gun battery ignites national pride on Independence Day
Sri Lanka celebrated its 76th National Independence Day with the theme "Let's build a new country" today (04th February 2024). As part of the celebration, the Sri Lanka Navy paid tribute to the nation with a 25-Gun Salute on board the Sri Lanka Naval Ship (SLNS) Sayura at noon.

Sri Lanka Navy's patriotic pageantry lights up 76th Independence Day celebrations
The 76th celebration of Sri Lanka's National Independence Day took place at Galle Face in Colombo on the morning of 04th February 2024. The central event, themed "Let's build a new country" was presided over by Hon.
