Navy and Coast Guard personnel contribute one day’s salary to national recovery effort
In a significant display of solidarity and national duty, the Sri Lanka Navy, in a joint initiative with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard, on 31 Dec 25 contributed a collective one day’s salary from all serving personnel to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund.

Naval Social Responsibility mission flows on: 03 new RO plants to serve schools and communities
As part of its commitment towards enhancing public health and community welfare, 04 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, were declared open for community use on 29 and 30 Dec 25. The facilities were made available in the Divisional Secretariat of Mahiyangana in Badulla and Ambanpola, Galgamuwa and Bingiriya Divisional Secretariats in Kurunegala.

Foreign warships commended for their assistance during weather disaster in Sri Lanka
Highlighting the spirit of global and regional cooperation, the Sri Lanka Navy on 30 Nov 25 acknowledged the invaluable support by foreign warships, extending much-needed Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, during the recent weather disaster in Sri Lanka. These vessels had arrived to take part in the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025, held off the Galle Face seas, marking the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Navy.
