SLN arrests 24 Indian Fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters

Naval craft attached to the North Central Naval Command on routine patrol arrested 15 Indian fishermen along with 03 Indian fishing boats engaged in poaching in the Sri Lankan waters North West of Thalaimannar on 05^th March 2014.

Meanwhile, 09 fishermen and 02 boats engaged in poaching also arrested in the same area, on 06^th March 2014. The arrested fishermen and the boats were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Thalaimannar for further investigations
