Navy recovered largest stock of LTTE Pistol Ammunition

Naval troops attached to the SLNS Gotabhaya of the Eastern Naval Command on information received recovered a haul of pistol ammunition buried at Vellamulli-Vaikkal area in Mullaithivu with the assistance of 681 Brigade of Sri Lanka Army on 09^th May 2014. This is the largest stock of LTTE pistol ammunition ever to be recovered by the security forces.

The recovered items are as follows:

1. 9 x 19 mm KOPP ammunition           -    120,000
2. SG 12 Bore ammunition                     -          2750
3. 357 Magnum (Blazer) ammunition   -          5600
