Navy arrests 05 illegal immigrants

Naval craft attached to SLNS Thammanna of the North Central Naval Command on routine patrol arrested 05 Sri Lankan Tamil illegal immigrants on 23^rd May 2014 in the seas off Mannar.

Initial investigations have revealed that the family comprising parents and their three children were returning from India after leaving the island in 2002. The arrested persons were handed over to Thalaimannar police for further investigations.
