Navy recovered large stock of Ammunition

Naval troops attached to the SLNS Kanchadewa of the North Naval Command on information received recovered a large stock of ammunition buried at Suruvil area in Kayts on 22^nd June 2014.

The recovered items are as follows:

1. 23mm ammunition - 14
2. 14.5mm ammunition - 174
3. 7.62x39mm ammunition - 3,425
4. 7.62x54mm ammunition - 1,135
5. 12.7x99mm ammunition - 610
6. 12.7x108mm ammunition - 2,075
