Naval troops arrest two persons with 56 kilograms of "Modaka"
 

Naval troops attached to SLNS Thambapanni of the North Western Naval Command on information received arrested two persons with 56 kilograms of “modaka” (5,600 packets) in the general area of Galkanda on 07^th July 2014. The arrested persons along with the items were handed over to Nikaweratiya Police for further investigations.

The arrested fishermen and the trawlers were handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Mannar for legal action.
