Naval troops arrest 12 persons engaged in illegal fishing
 

Naval troops attached to SLNS Gajaba of the North Central Naval Command on information received arrested 12 persons with 02 FGD’s engaged in illegal fishing using explosives in the general area of Periyakadai in the Mannar District on 13^th August 2014.

The arrested persons with 533 kilograms of illegal fish catch were handed over to the Assistant Director of the Fisheries Department in Mannar for further investigations.
