Udara brings critically ill fisherman ashore
 
 

Sri Lanka Navy’s Fast Gun Boat, Udara, attached to the Southern Naval Command has been dispatched to Southern deep Seas to render assistance to a critically ill fisherman in response to a request made Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

The fisherman, who had been among the 7-member crew of the fishing trawler “Sachini II” was taken onboard the naval vessel, 145 nautical miles off Galle. He is being brought to the Galle Fisheries Hrbour after onboard emergency medical treatment given by the naval medical personnel.
