Navy personnel arrest two persons with explosives intended for illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Gajaba of the Eastern Naval Command on coastal protection duties arrested two persons with 2 kilograms of gelignite (20 sticks), 02 pairs of divine fins, 03 diving masks, 1fishing net and 1 FGD intended to be used in illegal fishing in the seas off Southbar in Mannar on 07th February 2015.

The arrested persons with the items were handed over to the Assistant Director of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Mannar for further investigations.
