Navy arrests 05 fishermen engaged in illegal fishing
 

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Kashyapa of the Eastern Naval Command arrested 05 persons with 02 FGDs on the suspicion of their engagement in illegal fishing in the general area of Kalkuda on 23rd May 2015.

The arrested persons with their equipment, which included 02 Exide batteries, 04 holders, 04 CFL bulbs, 04 fishing hooks, 10 yards of wire and several fishing nets along with 353kg of illegally caught fish catch, were handed over to the Fisheries Inspector (Valachchenai East) for onward action.
