The members of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) arranged a special Tea Party for the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne at SLNS Gemunu yesterday (20).

Following a concept of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, a rare opportunity was recently given to the wives of senior sailors of the Navy to follow a beauty culture course.

The registration of newly enrolled children for year 2017 in respective Naval Preschools and free distribution of preschool uniforms among them took off ground under the guidance of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, on 5th and 6th January 2017.

As part of yet another community service campaign of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), the President of NSVU, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne along with its members took time off to visit and spend time with the patients who are undergoing treatment at ward No-7 at National Institute of Mental Health in Mulleriyawa today (3).

A project of yogurt production , initiative of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, was declared open by Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at SLNS Gemunu, Welisara this morning (19).

As per the guidance of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne and going by the concept of the President of the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, several pilgrimages to religiously significant sites were organized by the Eastern, Southern and Western Naval areas, focusing on the parents of naval personnel in respective commands.

The annual concert of the Naval Preschools which are operated under the patronage of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit was held on a colourful note at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium on 06th December 2016.

Under the guidance of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, a wide range of events were conducted on 28th and 29th of November, in parallel with Galle Dialogue 2016, International Maritime Conference.

Going by the concept of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, the second stage of the beauty culture course organized for the wives of senior sailors of the Navy, was launched at SLNS Tissa in Trincomalee under the patronage of the President of NSVU on 30th October 2016.

Following a concept of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, a special beauty culture course, organized for the wives of senior sailors of the Navy, was commenced in Welisara on 25th October 2016.
