Navy marksmen shine at IPSC Shotgun Nationals 2026
Sri Lanka Navy practical shooting team secured 12 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at the IPSC Shotgun Nationals / Scorpion Extreme Shotgun Challenge 2026, held from 19 to 21 June at the Sri Lanka Army Pistol Shooting Complex in Panaluwa.
The three-day tournament, organised by the Scorpion Shooting Club, brought together leading shooters representing the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force and Sri Lanka Police, as well as competitors from 10 shooting clubs across the country.

The outstanding training, dedication, professionalism, and guidance provided by Ms. U.S. Rodrigo, the Sri Lanka Navy Shooting Coach, were reflected in the competitive success achieved by the Navy shooters at this tournament.
The presentation of medals and trophies to the winners took place on 4 September at the Auditorium of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association. The occasion was attended by a group of senior officers from the Tri-Forces and the Police.
