Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera met with the Inspector General of Police, CD Wickramaratne at the Police Headquarters in Colombo today (05^th January 2022).

Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy effective from 23rd December 2022. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera formally handed over the letter of appointment to Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayake at the Navy Headquarters today (03 January 2023) and expressed his best wishes to the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Staff.

Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, the President and Commander - in - Chief of the Armed Forces of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka appointed Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularatne as the Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Navy effective from 23rd December 2022. Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera formally handed over the letter of appointment in this regard to Rear Admiral Jayantha Kularatne at the Navy Headquarters today (03rd January 2023) and expressed his best wishes to the newly appointed Chief of Staff.

Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara assumed office as Commander Eastern Naval Area at the Command Headquarters in Trincomalee today (02nd January 2023).

An official ceremony to mark the commencement of duties of the year 2023 was held under the patronage of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters this morning (02nd January 2022).

Sri Lanka Navy took over the customary duty of the hoisting of National Flag at the Galle Face and Ceremonial Guard at the President’s House from Sri Lanka Army, at the Galle Face and Navy Headquarters on 31st December 2022 and today (01st January 2023).
