The annual puja of the Ganadevi Kovil at the Naval Dockyard, Trincomalee was held on 02^nd and 03^rd of September 2019. As part of this event, the idol of Lord Ganesha was taken out in grand procession along the streets in the Naval Dockyard premises.

Following the directives of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva, Sri Lanka Navy Ships, ‘Sindurala’ and ‘Suranimila’ left Trincomalee today (05^th September) for India to participate in the Sri Lanka Navy and Indian Navy Exercise (SLINEX 2019). The two ships departed the harbour amidst formal naval traditions.
