Responding to the information provided by Kaluthara (South) Police, a team of lifesaving sailors attached to the Rapid Response Rescue and Relief unit of Sri Lanka Navy, rescued a person who was drowning near the North bridge of Kalu Ganga, yesterday evening (24 January).

Six (06) persons who were transferring sand in Dehiwatta area, Kantale were apprehended by a troop of Marine personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Police STF-Trincomalee, yesterday (24^th January).
