The Sri Lanka Navy has been implementing a wide array of community service projects, going by the visionary leadership of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne. Installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in areas where high prevalence of kidney disease is recorded has been recognized as one of the many magnanimous projects undertaken by the Navy.

On receipt of intelligence information, a group of naval personnel in coordination with Police apprehended 4 suspects with 3.4 kg of Kerala Cannabis in the general area of Mattakkuliya yesterday (24).

During a joint raid carried out by the Sri Lanka Navy and Police, 18 Sri Lankans who were on an illegal migration attempt, were apprehended yesterday (23).
