The Inter-Command Tug of War Tournament 2015 was held at the NMA Hockey Ground, Trincomalee on 06th and 07th November 2015.

The main ceremony to commemorate fallen war heroes who paid the supreme sacrifice was held at the Vihara Maha Devi Park today (08th November 2015).

Sri Lanka Navy's Landing Craft, L 820 and L 821, attached to the Northern Naval Command, rendered assistance to transport lamp posts, transformers and other equipment to Analativu island at a request made by the Ceylon Electricity Board.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Theraputta in Silawathura deployed on routine patrol arrested 4 local fishermen along with a Fiber Glass Dinghy, 175 kilograms of sea cucumber and 4 diving face masks whilst engaged in fishing without permit in the seas between Kallaru and Kondachchikuda on 05th November 2015.

The annual Katina Pinkama of the Nagadeepa Purana Raja Maha Viharaya was conducted successfully under the patronage of the Northern Naval Command of the Sri Lanka Navy on 3rd and 4th of November 2015.

The Sri Lanka Navy and Indian Navy Exercise (SLINEX 2015) concluded successfully on 01st November 2015 in Trincomalee. The joint naval exercise enabled both Navies to rehearse and improve own capabilities and enhance operational effectiveness required to maintain maritime security in the region by integrating forces.

The Navy’s first ever triathlon championship, which promised attractive prizes to the competitors and scintillating excitement to the spectators, was held on a grand scale at the Dikovita Fisheries Harbour and the neighbouring area on 01st November 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to arrest six Indian fishermen along with an Indian fishing trawler poaching in Sri Lankan waters at the north-west of Thalai-mannar on 31st October 2015.

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne called on the Nigerian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mr. S. U. Ahmed at the Nigerian High Commission in Colombo on 30th October 2015.

The Western Naval Command conducted a field medical clinic at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Balagala in Handala on 28th October 2015.
