இலங்கை கடற்படை, 2025 செப்டம்பர் 13 ஆம் திகதி தலைமன்னார், மணல்திட்டு கடல் பகுதியில் நடத்திய சிறப்பு தேடுதல் நடவடிக்கையின் போது, சட்டவிரோதமாக கடத்தப்பட்டு கடல் வழியாக ஆட்கடத்தல்காரர்களால் கைவிடப்பட்டதாக சந்தேகிக்கப்படும் ஆறு (06) இலங்கையர்களை இலங்கை கடற்படையினர் கைப்ற்றினர்.

Navy thwarts illegal migration attempt, 07 individuals including 02 facilitators held in Talaimannar
A naval patrol conducted in the Urumalei area, Talaimannar in the dark hours of 02nd June 2024 led to the apprehension of 05 Sri Lankan nationals, believed to have attempted to enter into the island by illegal means. The Navy also held 02 individuals who facilitated this illegal act, in this operation
