The Archery Championship of the 12th Defence Services Games was held at the Army Ground, Panagoda on 17th and 18th January 2023. Exhibiting scintillating performances, the men’s team of the Navy emerged overall champions and the women’s team secured the runner up position in the tournament.

Sri Lanka Navy emerged women’s champion in Kabaddi at 12th Defence Services Games. The tournament was held at the indoor stadium of Air Force Base, Katunayake on 12th and 13th January 2023.

The ‘Commandant’s Cup Sailing Regatta - 2023’ organized for the third time by the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee concluded on a successful note today (11^th January 2023). Commenced on 09^th January, the Sailing Regatta was held in the inner harbour sea area of Trincomalee. The prize awarding ceremony of the competition was held at the Commander Shanthi Bahar Memorial Sailing Club, under the patronage of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.

The ‘Commandant’s Cup Sailing Regatta - 2023’ organized for the third time by the Naval and Maritime Academy (NMA), Trincomalee commenced on 09^th January 2023. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Commander Eastern Naval Area and Commandant Volunteer Naval Force, Rear Admiral Dammika Kumara at the Commander Shanthi Bahar Memorial Sailing Club.

Sri Lanka Navy women cyclists won the overall team championship in cycling at the 12th Defence Services Games. The race started from the Air Force Base, Katunayake on 08^th January 2023.

Sri Lanka Navy clinched both men’s and women’s championship in weightlifting at the 12^th Defence Services Games. The weightlifting championship organised by the Defence Services Sports Board and Sri Lanka Air Force was held at the National Sports Complex in Polonnaruwa on 22^nd December 2022. The trophy for the Best Lifter in the tournament was won by the Commonwealth medalist Leading Seaman DMIC Dissanayake.

The Navy ‘A’ Team won the division 'A' men's title in ‘Seethadevi’ six-a-side hockey tournament held at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy on 17th and 18th December 2022. The tournament was organised by Seethadevi Girls College, Kandy and Seethadevi Sports Club.

The table tennis tournament of the 12th Defence Services Games was held at the Commander Parakrama Samaraweera Memorial Indoor Sports Complex on 14th, 15th and 16th December 2022. The tournament was held under the patronage of Director Sports of the Sri Lanka Navy, Commodore Roshan Athukorala. Exhibiting stellar performance in the tournament, the Navy clinched the men's team championship.

Sri Lanka Navy men’s canoe sprint team won the runner-up title in the 06th National Canoe Sprint Championship – 2022 held on 16^th and 17^thDecember 2022 at Diyawanna Lake. The tournament was held under the patronage of the President of National Association for Canoeing and Kayaking in Sri Lanka, Mr Rohan Preethiwiraj.

The Navy won the Division ‘A’ League Championship in State Services Netball Tournament- 2022 worked off at Railway Ground, Borella on 08th and 09th December 2022. Beating the teams of Police and Air Force, the Navy clinched the Division ‘A’ League title.
